Peter's Done

On the top left is my first version of Peter, which was done almost a year ago. The one on the bottom left is the one that I have finished as of... an hour ago.

What's next? Saint Anthony of the Desert for my brother, John Anthony.

At Long Last!

I finally have my sister's camera back, so I took the shot of Peter's robes highlighted. For the robes next I need to find a darker color than the shadow (probably black) color and use that for the folds. This will give the icon definition, which it doesn't have yet. After that I need to put the eyes in, and finally do some work on the scroll that's off the panel. Then comes the gold leaf, inscriptions, and then sealing the icon with varnish to protect everything.

More soon.

Updates Soon

I've done some more work on Saint Peter, but I don't have a camera that I can use to upload to the Internet. About Saturday night to Monday mid-day expect an update on the iconography.

My Stance on the New Liturgy, In as Many Words

This new liturgy stuff needs to go higher than just the U.S. We need to write a letter to Rome.

Shouldn't we approach the bishops first?

No! They were the ones who suggested this heretical junk that now has the world in an uproar. As I've said on other webistes, when you're house is burning down you don't go to the person who burned it down for help. Ever. It's nonsensical then, it's stupid now. I wouldn't as an American in WW2 go the Germans to have my wounds healed.

Isn't that a little extreme?

What, to say that the new Liturgy is heretical? No, it's not extreme, it's necessary. Extreme means what's not necessary, and to call this liturgy heretical is necessary. Get past your PC junk and recoginze what's going on for what it is!

A footnote to Bishop John Kudrick:

I'm behind you all the way, but please do not implement this liturgy in Parma. You'll lose many more people, and you will sink the boat your fellow bishop Pataki has been trying to sink the whole time.

A footnote to the other bishops:

Show some spine and save your church! The place is burning to the ground and you're doing nothing! I, as an eighteen year old should NOT have to type this on the computer, hoping you'll see it. Be the overseers that you were born to be. We need you to do this, this church MUST survive.
